Overwhelm. Stress. Trouble focusing. Trouble sleeping. Stress eating or other bad stress habits that creep in when we feel like life is dragging us around. I want to give you some tips that really help me stay present and engaged and able to get past the stress and overwhelm.
Pause and Pray. I get to decide how I show up in my life. I’m in charge of my reactions, of my mindset, of my energy, of my attitude. Pausing to pray helps me remember that this is all so fleeting. I don’t want to look back and have my life be a blur of stress. There’s so much to be thankful for, so much to notice, and so much to joy to experience.
Ask for help. Why is that sooooo hard for us? We want people to just know what we need and when we need it. We secretly hope they’ll just show up and offer. Truth is they don’t even have a clue we are stressed and overwhelmed. If they did, they’d be there in a heart beat. Ask. For. Help. Your people love you and want to help you but you have to tell them how they can help.
Move your body. Your stress is not just in your head. You are carrying it around all day IN YOUR ACTUAL BODY. And to get it out, you need to help your body out a little. Eat better food and MOVE. You need that physical release. You won’t believe how much it relieves your stress and helps your mind!
Oil and supplements. It’s no secret, I’m crazy about them! I can’t even imagine my life without them. I’ve gone from surviving to thriving in this one life that I get to live. I’m so amazed by something so simple – essential oils and quality vitamins. If you haven’t tried them, I promise, you’ll wish you had done it sooner. My favorite stress oils include Balance and Serenity.
