Did you know you can reduce your toxic load just by drinking water?
Our environment is full of toxins from the air we breathe to the food we eat, the products we clean our homes with, and especially our beauty products. The average woman is putting hundreds of chemicals on her body every time she leaves the house in the morning when she gets ready! All of this increases risks to vital organs, hormones, allergies, digestive issues, respiratory problems, impaired immune system…
The first step is to minimize exposure. Eliminate as many toxins from your home and beauty routine as you can! Your body is designed to regulate toxic load and when you reduce toxic load you help it work more efficiently.
According to research, drinking your water is also a huge factor in supporting your body. Especially, the liver and kidneys! Drinking water flushes the liver and assists the kidneys in filtering waste. When you are in a state of dehydration, acid and waste products build up, causing the kidneys to become congested. The risk for kidney stone formation and urinary tract infections increase. Fortunately, the fix is as simple as drinking more water.
Invest in a quality water bottle and sip all day. Use your bottle to keep track of how much water you’ve consumed. Make it a goal to drink half your body weight in water. So if you weigh 100lbs, drink 50oz of water throughout the day. I love my green mason jar for home and my stainless steel bottle for on the go.
In a study published in the journal Sleep, researchers discovered that those who averaged six hours of sleep or less showed several indicators of dehydration! Easy fix, right? Drink water. But y’all. The benefits don’t end there! Clearer skin, more energy, better metabolism, healthier heart, and healthier joints to name a few more! DRINK YOUR WATER, dearhearts. Life is too short to go around dehydrated! That’s the last thing any of us needs.
