One of the most life-enhancing abilities we can develop is the process of enjoying the journey. When you choose to live intentionally, you choose to find joy in each day. We sometimes forget that life is the journey and the journey is life. The French call it joie de vivre – the joy of living. The Italians express it as nienta sense gioia – nothing without joy. To the Greeks, it’s kefi – the spirit of joy, passion, enthusiasm, high spirits. Whatever we’re doing, let’s do it for the joy.
Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
One of our favorite activities right here in our own backyard in the South Carolina Low Country is Charles Towne Landing in Charleston. Family friendly, budget friendly, educational and fun. We love homeschooling our children and getting to experience adventures with them whether near or far, simple or exotic. Living intentionally for us, includes family time and experiences. We want them to love where we live just as much as they love the places we visit.
