Hey, you. Don’t give up.

We all love it when things are smooth sailing but in life there will be rocks to climb, oceans to swim, and lions to fight.  Giving up means we won’t know how close we came to victory.  It could be that we were moments away from our breakthrough.  Endurance is not about all the times we try and fail – it is the one time that we refuse to give up. It is not based on who comes in first but is reserved for the one who is determined to finish the race despite great adversity.  We are more than conquerors. Don’t give up.

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.”  (Psalm 18:32–36)

Some action steps that will help us:

1.  Get up each morning and follow through with commitments despite how we feel.

2.  Open God’s word daily and believe it’s promises for us.

3.  Let mistakes make us better not bitter.

don't give up
